COMPENSATION AND EMPLOYEE COMMITMENT OF DEPOSIT MONEY BANKS IN PORT HARCOURT, RIVERS STATE, NIGERIA

Abstract

The study examined the relationship between compensation and employee commitent in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The study adopted survey research design. Krejcie and Morgan Sample Size Determination Table of 1970 was used to obtain a sample size of 186 from a population of 360 staff in the head offices of 22 deposit money banks in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Structured questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection. After validation by the supervisors and other experts, Cronbach alpha was used to test the reliability of the instrument. The questionnaire was administered using Google Form survey tool shared via links. A total of 180 responses were received.
