Abstract

This study ascertained the interplay between organizational incentives an academic staff performance in the Federal University of Petroleum Resources in Delta State. The data was collected through structured questionnaire from sampled respondents in the studied university in Delta State. The finding revealed that, there is a significant relationship between organizational incentives and lecturers’ academic performance in the institution. Based on the above, it’s recommended that, monetary and nonmonetary incentives should always be given to lecturers for optimal performance. Besides, organizations should set up a policy for performance evaluation with corresponding incentives.
