Abstract

Knowledge distribution refers to the process by which new information from different sources is shared and eventually can drive the creation of new knowledge, understanding, and information (Huber, 1991). However, according to Lee Yang (2000), this sharing process requires the organization to mobilize in order to create a “sharing environment”: “The most effective way to disseminate knowledge and best practices are through systematic transfer. is, to create a knowledge-sharing environment”. The mere fact that the organization has possession of knowledge is insufficient. The organization should ensure the flow of knowledge in order to enable the learning process between individuals, resulting in improved performance (Yuan et al., 2010).
