INTERACTIONAL JUSTICE AND EMPLOYEE COMMITMENT IN COMMUNICATION COMPANIES IN RIVERS STATE, NIGERIA
Abstract
The study examined interactional justice and employees commitment in communication companies in Rivers State, Nigeria. Five objectives and three hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. A quasi-experimental research design was adopted. The target population of this study was the employees of six telecommunication companies operating in Rivers State. The sample size comprised of Two Hundred and Forty-Five (245) respondents of the employees in the selected telecommunication companies in Rivers State. This was obtained using the Taro Yemen’s formula. Spearman Rank Order Correlation Coefficient was used in testing the hypotheses. The findings revealed that a significant relationship exists between interactional justice on affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment respectively in communication companies in Rivers State. The study concluded that when organizational justice is encouraged in any organization/company; it improves employee commitment. Also, the research has proven that interactional justice can enhance commitment among employees in organization/company.
