Abstract

This study was set out to examine the impact of TQM on competitive advantage. The findings show that both process management and employee involvement were found to be good predictors of competitive advantage. The total quality management (TQM) system has been widely conceptualized as a strategy that provide companies with a competitive advantage (Martı´nezLorente, Dewhurst, and Gallego-Rodrı´guez, 2000). Conclusion and implications TQM is a general philosophy of management that attempts to enhance competitive advantage of organizations, and is a way of managing organizations to improve its overall effectiveness and performance towards achieving world-class status.
