Abstract

This paper examined recruitment strategy in Federal Civil Service Commission and organizational performance. The study has two research questions and objectives which guided the investigations of this paper. The methodology used for this study is the descriptive survey design in which the purposive sampling technique was applied to collect data from 120 respondents at various Federal parastatals. However, the primary data were collected with the use of well-structured questionnaire, while secondary data were derived from journals and books. The goal theory was used in this work because of its relevance to the theoretical perspective of this research. The data collected were presented on tables and analyzed with the use percentage. Meanwhile, recommendations were provided based on the findings of the study, among which is that Government should standardize their recruitment policies to meet global standard and to give opportunity to all applicants. The recruitment commission should avoid all forms of discriminatory tendencies during the recruitment process.
