COLLECTIVE CAPABILITY AND ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGERIAN CONTENT DEVELOPMENT AND MONITORING BOARD

This study investigated collective capability and organizational performance of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). The specific objectives were to examine the link between collective capability, employee retention and employee job satisfaction. A structured questionnaire was used as instrument for data collection from 114 respondents who took part in this study. The data was analyzed and the degree of association between the various variables were assessed using correlation models, more especially the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMC). The findings revealed significant and positive association between the variables. Based on the findings, the researcher thus concludes that; there is a strong and positive relationship between collective capability and organizational performance of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board. Also, there is a strong and positive relationship between the study’s predictor variables and the criterion variables. Founded on the findings of this study, the researcher thus recommends that, public organizations should consider collective capabilities imperative to improve performance and seek to enhance their employee’s retention and job satisfaction by mainstreaming and focusing teamwork and intelligence sharing as necessary ingredients.
