INSTRUCTIONAL WEBSITES AND E-SECURITY SYSTEMS IN SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION

Abstract

The infinite advantages of inculcating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into education has brought about the use of instructional websites for easy access to educational materials and lectures online. And though many improvements have been made in the development of instructional websites, the issue of security and privacy have been of great concern both to open sites and restricted or private websites. This paper is on instructional websites and E-security and focuses on examining major security issues in developing and using instructional websites for schools administration. It considered the effective methods of securing instructional websites, the need for privacy practices in developing, using and accessing instructional websites, and limitations of privacy and security of instructional websites. The paper concluded that securing instructional websites is an all inclusive activity in school administration for improved overall performance.
