Abstract

The competitiveness of organizations in today‟s volatile business environment is determined by short lead times, inventory cost effectiveness, top notch product quality and consistent customer satisfaction. Hence, the thrust of this study was to empirically determine the relationship between inventory optimization and customer satisfaction of petroleum marketing firms in Rivers State. A conceptual model was developed to achieve the objectives of the study, with Just-in-Time (JIT) and ABC technique as dimensions of inventory optimization; the predictor variable and customer satisfaction as the criterion variable
