Abstract

This work examined the relationship between Information-induced Stress and Employees’
commitment. Literatures were reviewed on Information-induced Stress such as vague
data/information, techno-invasion, and excessive calls/messages and measures of Employees’
Commitment such as affective commitment, normative commitment, and continuance
commitment. The study concluded that information-induced stress negatively affects employees’
commitment in tertiary institutions. Amongst other things, the paper recommended that personal
life of employees should be properly respected such that unnecessary invasion of no kind from
clients, colleagues, and bosses will be experienced.
