Earth and its environment a rich inheritance passed on by generations for us to take adequate care for the next generation in the midst of our enormous individual and corporate activities. Thus, the bottom-line objective of establishing a corporate organization is to improve or contribute to the quality of life in the society. Thus, measures need to be put in place that determines the extent to which an organization has impacted on the society from time to time. Corporate organizations are thereby faced with the need to impact positively on the host communities, by taking upon themselves certain responsibilities in order to increase their societal and environment influence (Ine-Tonbarapa, 2016). Also, there has been an increased public awareness between government, companies and environment in which they operate, this enlightenment has brought concerns about environment degradation, resources depletion, employee’s welfare, the depletion of the ozone layer, customer and stakeholder’s interest and thereby causing imbalance in the Nigerian society and especially Nigeria region. Hence, corporate organizations are getting involved in corporate responsibility accounting in their business operations rather than focusing on profit making only (Oduol, 20).
