Abstract

This paper attempts the integration of Multiculturalism and International Tourism in order to build international understanding and peace in a world of threats to multilateralism and globalism. The authors draw on their experiences on two continents of Africa and USA over two time periods involving their student days in the USA and as International Tourists from Africa to USA severalĀ  decades later. The Data used in Analysis relate to a multicultural marriage ceremony which held in California in which the celebrant families exhibit multicultural characteristics of inter-faith, inter-racial, and international nature. The authors were participants in the marriage ceremony and have used participant observation methods both in analyzing and in drawing conclusions of the potentials of multicultural marriages in providing the Silk Road to International Tourism.
