Abstract

This study examines Digital Human Resource Practices and Employee Development in Nigerian Banking sector. The study adopted digital recruitment and digital onboarding as dimensions of digital human resource practice while measures of employee development were performance management and competence development. To provide a comprehensive and detailed explanation of on digital human resource practice and employee development in the banking sector in Nigeria, information in this study were sourced based on authoritative and credible print encyclopedias, nonfiction books, academic journals, and dictionaries. From the findings from the review of extant empirical studies, the study revealed that digital human resource practice is imperative and essential to employee development in Nigerian banking sector. In conclusion, digital human resource practice and employee development have become integral components of the Nigerian banking sector. By adopting digital HR practices, banks can enhance recruitment processes, improve employee training and development, streamline performance management, foster employee engagement, and retain top talent. The study recommended that Banks should prioritize investing in robust technology infrastructure to support digital HR practices. As digital HR practices evolve rapidly, it is essential for HR professionals in the banking sector to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies that will aid recruitment and onboarding system.
