Abstract

The study examined the relationship between  HRM practices and employee normative commitent in organisation. The paper revealed that there is a relationship between HRM practices and normative commitment in money deposit banks, Rivers State, Nigeria. The study concluded that compensation constitutes significant determinant of employee normative commitment in organisation. The research recommended amongst others that management should build an organizational culture that accommodates employee-friendly practices such as high compensation, regular training/development and employee voice in order to ignite and sustain employee commitment.
