Abstract

This study examines corporate responsiveness and its relationship to the sustainability of information management in the Rivers State Civil service. A cross section of the ministries and their principal officers were studied as a random sample of the targeted permanent secretaries and directors of all levels including directors of different departments and units, deputy directors and assistant directors respectively. 10 ministries were conveniently sampled while 40 principal officers were randomly selected using a two-stage sampling approach. Null hypothetical statements were raised to test the responses derived using closed ended questionnaire. The data gathered were analyses using the Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and the results from the study findings revealed strong and significant relationship between corporate responsive Information management sustainability in the Rivers State Civil service. This therefore, led to the study recommendations for the adoption of these dimensions with the view of achieving ideal information management sustainability in the studied area.
