Abstract

Infancy is the period of life that is 0-12 months. During infancy, dietary intake and nutrient requirements of the infant is very important. The diet must provide sufficient nutrients for the growth and proper development of the infant. The first six months of the infant is a crucial period of life outside the womb. There is rapid growth and development. There is therefore the need for proper nutrition.
